The upcoming Bollywood movie ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ has been in talks for quite a few months now. The film is going to be released on April 10, 2024, on the eve of the festival of Eid. This forthcoming piece of art is a mixture of action, thrill, and comedy and has some of the best superstars of Bollywood featuring in it. The film stars Akshay Kumar as the lead male actor and Sonakshi Sinha as the female lead. Apart from this, the film also stars some of the talented actors of Bollywood like Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Anil Dhawan, Hansraj, and talented actresses like Manushi Chhillar, Alaya F, Richa Prakash and many more.

The film is directed by Bollywood’s well-known director Ali Abbas Zafar, who made his directorial debut with the film ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ in the year 2011 since then he has given many Bollywood blockbusters at the box office like ‘Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, Bharat’.

Pooja Entertainment and AZ Films are the main production houses of Bade Miyan Chote Mian. The soundtrack album is composed by Vishal Mishra, while Julius Packiam composed the background score,  with Marcin Lasquević as cinematographer. Visual effects have been regulated by DNEG.

Filming :

The film was announced on 8 February 2022. Set photography and shoot began in January 2023, with filming taking place across various locations in Mumbai, Scotland, London, Luton, Abu Dhabi, and Jordan.

The film was initially scheduled to be released in December of the year 2023 but now the first theatrical appearance of the movie is all set to be released this year on the occasion of eve i.e. Eid 2024.

On 20th January 2024, the first look of the poster was made publicly available across all social media and other media platforms. The film teased its first video roll on 24th January 2024 and got quite a good remark overall from the public.

A total budget of Rs 250 crore has been spent on making this film. The film will be released in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada languages.

The film is a remake of the Bollywood superhit film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan 1998’, starring superstar Govinda and the actual Bollywood G.O.A.T Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. The 2024 film got its inspiration from this 1998 blockbuster film. In the remake, actor Akshay Kumar played the part of Bade Miyan and actor Tiger Shroff for Chote Mian.

The plot of the film revolves around the two of them and their completely different personalities and the way they are working together for the inevitable triumph of justice. Their playfulness and action make this film worth watching.

It is safe to say that ‘Bade Mian Chote Mian’ looks pretty good in the foreseeable future. Although the movie follows a typical Bollywood narrative of ‘the victory of the good over the bad’, the entangled laughter in the knots of action and thrill makes this movie a perfect family piece for a fun evening.
