Siddhant Kapoor opens up about nepotism in Bollywood, says if it was a reality then he would have been a superstar by now

freepressjournal_import_2016_10_Siddhanth-Kapoor_151016The fire of nepotism continues to rage in Bollywood. While people in the industry are divided on the matter, Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhant Kapoor recently opened up about the same. The actor, who has done a few but substantial films in Bollywood, says if nepotism was a reality then he would have been a superstar by now. In an interview with a news portal, Siddhant reportedly said that it is not about nepotism. It should be about respecting somebody’s work, whether one is a star kid or not. According to him, if nepotism was a reality, he would have been a superstar by now. He also added that he has been working hard and trying to make a niche and create an impact on his work. He stated that it has got nothing to do with nepotism and he doesn’t even believe in the word nepotism.

Elaborating more on the same, Siddhant reportedly added that a doctor’s son or daughter gets a chance to be a doctor, so there shouldn’t be a problem when an actor’s son becomes an actor. According to him, it happens in every field.

Siddhant also opened up about how Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic death reignited the debate of outsiders vs insiders. He reportedly said that tragedy such as that should not happen and it should take a person to die to open one’s eyes.

Talking about the rage after the actor’s death on social media, Siddhant reportedly said that it is disturbing to see anything related to Sushant on social media and that it is heartbreaking. He urged people to just let him go in peace.
