Besides its other uses in foods like ice- cream and chocolate, it is also used as a condiment and a decorative item in culinary preparation. Mint is commonly used in Middle Eastern dishes, such as lamb, soups and vegetable salads. Incorporate this herb into a fresh fruit salsa with chopped apples, pear, lemon or lime juice, jalapeno and honey. Jass up your water by adding mint leaves, sliced lemon and cucumber for a refreshing drink in summer. In Indian dishes mint leaves can also be added in yoghurt, chicken or mutton biryani and also in home made lemonade. Mint leaves are also pureed with green coriander along with lemon to add extra zest to your palate. This chutney is also infused with iron and is a quick recipe for those suffering from anemia.

Aside from all the health benefits of mint, it can also help to lose weight in a healthy way. Mint, stimulates the digestive enzymes that absorbs nutrients from food and consume fat that is being consumed and puts to use rather than being stored, contributing to weight gain.
