Deepika Padukone’s diet plan and fitness regime can help speed up your weight loss journey

To maintain her slim figure, Deepika makes sure that she eats healthy and steers clear of junk and sugary foods as much as she can. Her diet consists of a lot of seasonal fruits and vegetables that are rich dietary fibre, proteins, complex carbs, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants – all of which can help you lose weight and improve overall health. She also includes grilled fish that packed with omega-3 fatty acids in her lunch. She stays hydrated by drinking water, coconut water, smoothies, buttermilk and natural juices. The actress eats her meals at regular times. She avoids non-veg and rice at nights. Deepika, who has a very good metabolic rate, also doesn’t smoke.

Here’s a diet plan of the actress

  • Early morning: She begins her day with a glass of warm water mixed with honey and lime juice or 1 cup water with fenugreek seeds soaked overnight.
  • Breakfast: Two egg whites and 1 glass of low-fat milk or South Indian food like upma, idli, dosa.
  • Lunch: 2 chapattis, grilled fish and a variety of different fresh vegetables.
  • Evening snacks: Nuts (2 almonds or 5 pecan nuts and) and filter coffee
  • Dinner: Chapattis, veggies, and green salads – and a piece of dark chocolate occasionally.

Deepika, who battled depression, revealed that it was the athlete in her that gave me the strength to fight and never ever give up – remember, the sexy curvaceous heroine was a badminton player before setting her foot in the film industry. Besides making healthier food choices, she also follows a strict fitness regimen, which is a combination of cardio, weight training, dance, and Yoga exercises.

The actress also includes Pilates in her fitness routine. Recently, celebrity fitness trainer Yasmin Karachiwala, who introduced Deepika to Pilates a few years ago, took to Instagram to post a video in which the actress can be seen doing some Pilates workout.

It is learned that Pilates and stretching have worked wonders for Deepika as it helps strengthen her core, increase her flexibility, and improve her posture. In one of her posts, Karachiwala said that Deepika had the perfect Pilates body.

Turns out, the actress is not a gym person, however, she likes to hit the gym when she is travelling and/or has a busy day. Deepika exercises daily and does not miss out on her yoga session for even a day. It is the different types of asanas she does every morning, which help her look young, fresh and gorgeous. She also loves dancing, which also helps her burn calories.

The bottom line is that adopting a healthy lifestyle, which includes eating healthy and daily fitness routine, can give you a flat belly, help you lose weight, build strength and stamina, perhaps achieve a lean body like Deepika.
